16 month pics..and helping mommy make muffins!

Shaylee LOVES banana bread and always asks for NANA NANA NANA and points to the counter even if it isn't there.  So I let her help me make banana muffins.  I have sticky floors already, so why not add to the mess!  she had a blast, and got to enjoy some with milk before bed!

The post before this I was saying that she was talking more and more.  Well Jim and I had counted her up to 40-50 words, and now she is saying words to us over this last day or so that we had no idea she knew!!  like...jacket!  backpack.  I started taking 1st word books out at the library and read them to her all day.  By the end of the day she'll know at least 2 to 5 new words from that book I've been reading.  She also knows 3 colors..blue, brown  and purple.  She is a smarty pants this one!

This little girl just keeps on growing!!!  can you believe she is now 16 months as of tomorrow!!???  well we can't.  

Her new word is WOW!!! Jim and I took her to the Vancouver Aquarium and she absolutely loved it.  She kept clapping and saying "wow" during the dolphin show.  She is sure discovering how to use it in the right context too!  she saw these huge halloween figures in the eye glass store and also said wow!  or maybe it was whoa!!  anyhow..this girl is a talking machine.

She is into coloring and painting as of right now...or should I say finger painting, and almost eating!! LOL  But she is quite the Picasso!!  

Her words include..lets see if I can remember

mama, daddy, nana, papa, ball, baby, book, toe, shoe, sock, color, yeah, yes, please, blocks, sun, giraffe, star, done, hi, bye, puppy, uh oh, wow, whoa, brush, cracker, park,  car, color, truck, balloon, and I'm sure there are tons more I can't think of.  

Just shy of 15 months and growing soooo fast!!

Our little magoo is 31  1/2 inches, and they say they will grow 3-5 inches between 12-24 months.  Meaning that we may have a 5'8" girl on our hands, or up to a 6 footer on our hands!!!  they say double their height at age 2.  So we'll see what happens!  I'm guessing 5'10".  But we are enjoying her grow up ...and talk!

 Shaylee's favorite!  although every time the kids would shoot balls out of guns above the toddler area, Shaylee would cry!!   She would have so much fun until a big burst of air would go off...

More Princess Party

somebody enjoyed the popsicles....can ya tell? It was her very first popsicle of the summer!!!  we try to limit her sweets.  But she was all over the popsicles and we just let her go wild!!  she actually ended up stealing her daddy's after too!

We have found our belly button...and a MOLE!

Shaylee has been obsessed with showing everyone her belly button.  She is still very shy and timid in public.  But flashes everyone her tummy every chance she gets!  HA!  but now it's even cuter!  she has found the tiny little mole on her tummy that just fascinates her!  moley moley moley :)
